Where to take apart laptop LCD - need ideas

Hi everyone, this is my first post here, and i chose something different than bad capacitors for a change. I have a HP dv9000 laptop which has acquired some nasty dust specks inside the LCD over time. I don't know where they come from but all my laptops have suffered from this. I've read about someone with ANTS inside his screen so it seems this is rather common.

Anyway, last time i took apart a LCD was on my old Toshiba Portege. It ended up messier after than before. I don't want the 9000 to end up the same, but a new screen is just too expensive. And those spots really get on my nerves sometimes.

So, any tips on taking this screen apart without getting it filled with more dust? The spots look a little blurry so i think they're on the last foil, that is the reflective layer that covers the backlight, so it should be easy access. I was thinking on opening the screen just slightly and vacuuming them out, as all three spots are near the bottom of the screen. But i somehow believe it won't work.

Anyway, does any of you have a theory on how the darn things actually get there? Mine is that they are there from the factory but they are on the edges of the screen, and they fall by themselves at some point or another. My other laptop, a dv5, bought new, came with one tiny speck on the left side, haven't noticed any new ones though. I'm curious, if i'm right and they fall by themselves from the top, why the heck do they get stuck???

Leave it, there is nothing you can do about it.

You need to completely disassemble the screen and its diffusion platters for the light.

I know that, i told you that i did it before and it didn't end up too pretty. But by the looks of it the dust specks are on the bottom foil (or platter if you like to call it that), so there shouldn't be THAT many surfaces to watch for.

I've seen a clean room project on hackaday if i remember right... Before i build one of those, i won't be taking my display apart anyway.

Well, it is just that I've tried that and it has ended much much worse than before.

Dust is everywhere and especially on the edges of LCD. It will get once you open it.
