Hello,

I have a laptop as in the title. It's working pretty normally except discrete GPU and HDMI port.
GPU failure happened during normal work (light load, browser only), no liquid damage.
I checked resistance and voltages on coils and only one looks suspicious to me. I mean this with 4ohm and 0V, I don't know what is the purpose of this coil (I don't have schematics).
What else I should check?

Another measurements:
Vcore 0.7ohm, constant 0.8V
Vmem: 140ohm, constant 1.35V

I found schematics for this board -> google "wistron lpm 1".
The missing voltage on coil PL9001 is needed for VCCGFXCORE_I. I must find a reason why VCCGFXCORE_I is 0V

VCCGFXCORE_I is for Intel Graphics it's 0V because its not heavy used on Windows desktop. After a run Furmark on UHD 630 I see 0.9V on PL9001 coil, so its everything ok.

Summarizing, I have proper volatages on all power rails, resistance is also ok. But GTX 1050ti max q does't work, error code 43 in device manager.
I exclude software problems (tested on windows 11 and ubuntu, both with clean install).
I exclude firmware problems (installed newest bios from lenovo and other firmware like intel me).
So what options do I have? Dead GPU?

On idle laptop draws 30 watts - unusable on battery. So I decided to turn off faulty GTX 1050. I located GPU_PWR_EN on U3802 element and I cut 4th leg (GPU_PWR_EN_D). After this on idle laptop draws 4-7 watts (over 16 hours on battery). No more NVIDIA in device manager and no more code 43.

I think you missed some coils related to the GPU, so we have less than the "half picture" to work with in front of us. At least VMEM, maybe PEX, maybe CORE_S, something like that. Probably underneath the black tape/foil, but missing. Since it's a GPU issue, probably important to check. Just saying.

You're quite right I missed some rails. I watched only a few Louis Rossmann videos on youtube, so I'm not an expert.
After your suggestion, I searched again and I located the PEX rail - a very small element with a tiny coil (looks like a capacitor).

PEX_PWRGD 200 ohms and constant 1V
VCCGFXCORE_D 0.7 ohms and constant 0.8V (three coils and three DrMOS)
DGFX_PHASE1 PLA302 (coil) PUA302 (DrMOS) 0.8V 0.7 ohms
DGFX_PHASE2 PLA304 (coil) PUA303 (DrMOS) 0.8V 0.7 ohms
DGFX_PHASE3 PLA306 (coil) PUA301 (DrMOS) 0.8V 0.7 ohms
VCC1R35VIDEO PLA401 (coil) PUA401 1.35.V 140 ohm

PEX exists, VRAM exists, VCCGFX exist. What else is needed for GPU work?
