    Macbook A2338 820-02020

    Hello Everyone, Namaste !!

We received a Macbook Pro A2338 (820-02020) in dead condition. There was no liquid spill. The Board was not drawing any power too.

Upon inspection we found the board was shorted at many places :

1)UT700 and UT710 were shorted to Ground.
    2)U8100 shorted and heating immensely.

We went ahead and removed the UT700 and UT7100 (tiny ICs) and the short was removed but the board is still shorted at U8100.

Before proceeding with Removal of U8100 i wanted to check if anyone has faced any such issue and can provide any insights.

    Thanks and Regards

Macbook Pro 2019 A2141 NAND Shorted
    by tech_guru
Hello. If you could please help me understand what I am doing wrong...

This model, Macbook Pro 2019 16" A2141, 512GB, EMC 3347, with T2 Security Chip, had 4 NAND Chips shorted in 1 wing (U9100, U9200, U9300, U9400) and it has 1 more in the 2nd wing (U8600) BUT NOT shorted. All chips are TSB4227 TOSHIBA-KIOXIA SN4192TWNA12014 BGA110 128GB. I got 4 new nand chips for 1 wing and programmed them by specific position of course with JCID P13 programmer.

I also replaced the tps power ic for the ssd.
Now all rails come up, including the ssd rails 0.9v, 1.8v, 2.5v....

    MacBook A2681 (Board 820-02862) - UP700 Likely Shorted
    by Dylan Jones
    Hi all,
I'm a beginner at laptop repair. I bought a MacBook Air A2681 that doesn’t turn on, just for practice. PPBUS_AON and the other always-on voltages are present and look fine. I did some diode mode measurements and got unusual readings (compared to reference values I found online) on LC320 (44mV) and L82D0 (40mV). LC320 corresponds to the PP5V_S2 power rail, and L82D0 to PP1V25_S2.

I injected 1V (current limited to 100mA, the board consumed around 86mA) into PP1V25_S2 to see if anything would heat up, but everything seemed normal. I did the same with 5V (current limited...

MacBook Pro A2338 [820-02773] No Audio (Speakers and Microphone)
    by classicandy
    Hi Everyone,

Please, I have a MacBook Pro A2338 M2, board number : 820-02773. The speakers and the microphone of the Mac are not working and I need assistance in fixing.

UR730 got damaged and short-circuited the motherboard. After removing the shortened IC; before and after putting the new one I ordered, the speakers [specifically the other one not affected by this IC] and the microphone are still not working. I do have sound through a Bluetooth speaker device or when I connect a headphone with microphone to the jack 3.5mm input. Also, media files do not play unless a...

I bought it on eBay and it was described as having a bad lcd. When I received it however I found that it was also missing the wifi and bluetooth antenna along with most of the screws hardware. it was also showing picture on the LCD but no backlight, I could also see some lines on the screen indicating the lcd was also somewhat damaged. on top...
