Hello!
I got a lenovo 520-15ikb laptop. It was a customer machine, but he gave it to me.
He said, it once turned off and never turned on or charged anymore.
There were no ALW voltges. Thanks to this forum, I read that changing the charger IC can fix this. I replaced the BQ, and indeed, the voltages came on.
All of them, but the 1VALW for PCH. The PCH_PWR_EN was missing from the EC output, so I took off the IT8586E and reprogrammed it with the following EC dump: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=72785
Placing the chip back, now the charging LED blinks (it didn't do anything before reflashing), and pressing the power button it actually turns on the fan and the keyboard backlight.
However, after 4-5 seconds, it turns off, and that's it. No logo, no POST.
I also reflashed the BIOS chip with the BIOS attached in the thread above.
That didn't seem to help either.
Any tips? Bad SIO, or bad firmware? Or anything else?
(if it matters: most likely the battery is full dead, as the laptop sat on my desk in its box. so i mostly tested the laptop without it)
