MSI P65 GPU (20250Ti) problem

I have a P65 8RD Creator with a dedicated Nvidia GTX 1050Ti GPU.

The 1050Ti GPU doesn't work to work at all. Connecting the HDMI just causes hanging and constant switching between the integrated Intel GPU and back to the 1050Ti.

I have tried with a new 180w charger for this laptop and have tried with a 20v 260 watt charger for the GE75 as well and it doesn't remedy it.

I include the screen shots and monitoring hml file from afterburner and GPU-Z.

Have done a bunch of stuff (reflash original vBIOS, update BIOS and EC firmware, reinstall windows, change driver, change RAM, underclock, replace thermal paste for CPU and GPU but left existing thermal pads on other components).

Wondering what troubleshooting to do next. Can't see any visibly damaged components on the board.

Could be bad cpu.

Intel is responsible for switching GPUS and HDMI.

Hi. What is the history of this laptop?

Did it work fine one day and presented this fault the next?

Any liquid damage?

Start with the basics, could the HDMI connector be defective? Inspect if the connector is SMD style.

I recall our Android box we picked up when in China which started to become flaky. The fault was that a few of the HDMI connector pins that were surface mount style were no longer soldered on the PCB. Had to point to point solder each floating pin to the pad. Worked fine after this repair.

During insertion / removal of the HDMI cable, watch the connector on the logic board for any movement. That is how we found this fault.

Can't find a schematic. Only can find a very basic one for the 8RE model, whereas mine is an 8RD.

This laptop is about 2 years old. There is no water damage.

Regarding HDMI, the dGPU is not accessible to applications (and doesn't appear to work at all) even when HDMI is not connected. Running GPU-Z's performance tests on the dGPU when the HDMI is not connected produces similar monitoring data.
