Lenovo x280 no power plug in charger blink 3 times

As the title says, I have x280
Power button doesn't respond. There is 3 volt going into it. Pressing pulls voltage down to gnd.

No obvious short on coils or caps.
Bat or adapter DC present across board

Any idea what could be the issue ?

What are the voltage’s présent in the coils with out pressing PWBTN & with pressing PWBTN

I don't remember. But I will get back to you.

Btw previously it was turning on but there was password.

After desoldering BIOS IC, read the content 4 times. I am sure I have read the dump correctly. I have 4 separate backups with matching MD5 sum.

After burning patched bios file, soldering back, that's when this happened.

Reverting to original backup doesn't solve the issue

Lenovo x280 missing component near bios ic

Hi guys anybody know what component is missing marked by yellow arrow
My guess is a resistor but I don't know the appropriate value. Probing the track tells me that it is connected to chips WP# pin

It was a 33 ohm resistor. Case closed

Issue solved. The BIOS IC was missing one resistor to one of its leg. Check this link https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...45#post1127845
