MBA A1466 2017 820-00165 Green ok, no power FAN not spinning

Hi,
Since a couple a days, i try to fix 820-00165 Mobo, without success for the moment.
Measures :
1. PVRTC_G3H = 3.33v
2. RTC_RESET_L = 3.3v
3. PCH_SRTCRST_L = 3.3v
4. PCH_INTVRMEN = 2.58v
4.1 PCH_INTRUDER_L = 2.50v
5. PCH_DSWVRMEN = 2.50v
6. SYSCLK_CLK32K_RTCX1 = 0.44v
7. PP3V3_S5 = 3.3v
7.1 PP1V8_S3 = 0v (EN pin 0v)
8. PM_DSW_PWRGD = 3.4v
9. PP3V3_SUS = 3.3v
10. PM_BATLOW_L = 0.035v (3.3v battery pluged but still no power)
11. PM_RSMRST_L = 3.04v
12. PM_PWRBTN_L = 3.4v ; SMC_ADAPTER_EN = 3.4v
PM_SLP_S4_L = 0v
Current condition :
SMC & U7100 both changed
U1900 changed
Q3000 changed (one leg discovered broken during desoldering).

I'm a the end of "what to do more"... any idea ? Thanks.

History of the board? Any liquid damage? PM_SLP_S4 issues if everything measure ok are usually corrosion related (open tracks etc).

Check to see if the any of the S4 and above voltages pulse once or twice. Also check impedance on the coils, especially L7630. Anything under 150 ohms in my experience on that coil is a waste of time (damaged PCH).

Board is in a very good condition, no liquid damage or corrosion.
PM_SLP_S4_L=0v but the lane is not grounded.
R measurement after L7630 gives ~218Ohms (0.217v in diode mode).
A precision i previously forget to mention : When i connect the battery, PM_BATLOW_L goes up to 3.3V but PM_SLP_S4 remains to 0v.

Your PM_BATLOW_L voltage is ok.

Generally speaking (minus other board issues such as liquid damage etc) If the battery voltage is NOT low or no battery is connected the SMC will send the 3.3V signal.

The other thing that can effect that signal is if you don't have a geniune mac power adapter connected.

Have you checked U1950, what are you getting at PINS #2 and #8?

Power adapter is a geniune one.
On U1950 => Pin2=0.074v; Pin8=3.42v

Yes your PM_BATLOW_L is fine.

Ok and voltage measurement at PIN #1? Are you measuring directly at each PIN or on a capacitor/resister thats on the lines?

Pin8 : 3.4v on U1950 pad; same on C1950;
Pin1 : 0v on pad & R8166.

Thanks do you see PIN #1 pulsing at all when you measure the voltage? Try and plug in the charger and when you do make sure you are watching your multimeter to see if anything happens?

Also can you measure the voltage at resister R8162 PIN #1 and #2 as well.

Check your S5/S3 rails in multiple spots on these 2017 00165 boards just to be safe. We've had some boards (all 2017) with no liquid that ended up having broken continuity in (I believe) 3v3_SUS at some points, and needed a wire. These were all non-liquid damaged, suspect an internal board fault.

R8162 : 0v on both side,
I'll dig with S5/3 rails connections and 3v3_SUS in same way.
RTC output has a strange shape (scope view), output level is not stable, sometimes, 2 voltage levels occur during Ton (stair step).

Ok thanks can you check the input on the U8160 now, I want you to check PIN #2 and #7, here we are checking for PP3V3_S0 voltage.

Also send the voltage measurements, again on U8160 for PINS #3 #5 and #6 please.

According to the OP, he wasn't getting to S4. Anything after this is meaningless. Understanding the power sequencing on these boards will save you lots of time.

Thanks for advice.
Since PM_SLP_S5_L was stucked to 0v, no way to go further in power sequence.
Once R8115 was removed, i confirm that PM_SLP_S5 was forced to 0v by U0500. So, i directly connect PM_PWRBTN_L to R8115 Pin2 Pad => S4 conditions was granted and associated VR rise up. Following situation was : PM_SLP_S3_L stucked at 0v. I didn't want to play more with PCH output by-pass.
so i have some doubts about PCH health.
