    A1278 820-2936 Rev.B Sleep light on

    Hi everyone

    I have this model of Macbook that has sleep light on, also i can hear fan and hdd working, battery charging is ok, ac adapter has green and orange light, already tried smc reset with keyboard method with no result, i would like to know where to start with motherboard.

      hi there i have a macbook a1278 core i7 board 820-2396a this board actually works fine i tried to remove the board to transfer it on other frame. when i turned it on screen has light but no image on it now i put it back to its original frame the same issue no image display but it has lcd lights on it. also tried memory change still the same. can you help me for this one.

      hi there i have a macbook pro a1278 board 820-2936a no boot no dispaly only fan spin and green light. i seen some corroision on top starting to u4900 to u3890 i manage to clean it but still no luck to boot. i figure out that in pp15v t29 there is no available out voltage it shows only 0.6 volts only...

      PPBUS_G3H=12v
      PP3V42_G3H=3.43v
      SMC_BC_ACOK=3v
      SMC_BC_ACOK_VCC=3.4v
      SYS_ONEWIRE=3.46v
      ADAPTER_SENSE=3.42v
      someone help i try with original charger

      Hi there, I've got a Macbook Pro A1278 board code 820-2936-B in which I have a very strange charging issue.

      Backstory is when I plugged the charger in, it would give a green light and swap to orange like normal but after a few seconds would go off to no light, laptop still powered on and functioned fine.

      So naturally I replaced the ISL chip first which made no difference so I also removed and reballed the SMC. This seemed to fix the issue for about an hour until I was back to square one again.

      Decided to then take an SMC from another board, reball that...

      hey all,
      i have this board earlier it was dead no power i changed the smc and all worked fine.Then after 5 days the customer gave back with it stuck on sleep mode.
      so i checked the rams then checked all voltages they are all fine.Put another smc and also programmed the bios.Still same issue.the funny part is when i remove the rams i get long beeps indicating no ram, but still the sleep led is on continuously.I get plt_rst 3.3V ok.also LPC_ad0 ,ad1 ad2 ad3 all communicating. also i see bios communicating.
      I just narrow it to 2 issues now pch or cpu has anyone faced this problem...
