The laptop does not work with only the adapter (no battery) ?

Re: L530 lenovo flashing without battery
There is a mod for some old thnkpad models to remove the battery whitelist but this one isn`t covered.I don`t know if there`s any other mods out there that might work.

Unfortunately, there are a small number of thinkpads with a model number from the "xx30" series that are using a completely different EC CPU and a different BIOS update strategy. Thus they are not currently able to be patched. This is known to be the case for at least the L430, L530 and E330.Last edited by SMDFlea; 10-07-2021, 09:49 AM.Comment

Re: L530 lenovo flashing without battery
It worked, his battery from T430 which is extended one ss working, and laptop is not reporting that it's not geniue and charging battery normally.
I flash bios from initial 1.06 to 2.76 now, and clear CMOS, and configure bios. But still this original battery when I insert it said that it's not geniune and won't charge it, I don't understand.
Found problem.
I google FRU from battery she fits in but, it's for L410, L412, L420, L421, L510, L512, L520, T410, T410i, T420, T510, T510i, T520, W510, W520, and not for L530. Someone that had this laptop before put original battery in but with FRU that is not compatible with this L530 laptop.
This L530 needs FRU 45N1001 battery which looks the same as this up model FRU 42T4791, but this 45N1001 is only for L430 L530 T430 T530 W530 imagine that, f.... lenovo.Last edited by Thermaltake; 10-07-2021, 10:56 AM.Comment

You can patch EC online (without need to flash) to enable non-genuine battery or battery from older NB series: https://github.com/leecher1337/thinkpad-Lx30-ecComment

Hello,
YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo
I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.
On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.
I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.
I changed the battery with a new and original battery.
I also had corrosion/oxidation on the... -
by BowlineMy question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?
My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell... -
by code shareHi everyone,
I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.
Here's what I've tried so far:- Power/EC reset (held power button for 60 seconds with battery and AC disconnected)
- Booted successfully on AC power only with the battery disconnected
- Visual inspection of the battery — no swelling, burn marks, or connector damage

by mrkmpnHello, I have a customer that brought this laptop in after replacing his battery. He said his original battery charge was not lasting long, and after replacing the battery with one purchased from iFixit, the charging worked for about 30 minutes and then stopped, and the battery is no longer detected by windows.
This laptop powers on when the AC adapter is connected, and my USB-C multimeter shows current being used with both ports, but the charging light does not come on, and in Windows the battery icon shows an X as if there is no battery present. If I disconnect the AC adapter,... -
by pabloroggeriGood guys. I changed the battery to a Lenovo V310-15ISK.
The laptop worked perfectly, I changed the L15C4A02 battery because it didn't last very long.
When I connected the new battery, the charging LED stopped lighting up and the one next to the charging pin also did not react when I pressed the power button. Minutes before changing the battery it worked perfectly and stopped working after putting the new one in. Even if you put the oroginal battery in or connect it without the battery, no LED lights up when you press the power button nor does it give an image, nor does the... - Loading...
