Hi all,
I have this laptop with problem loading OS. It shows error 0xc00000e9.
Without HDD, only USB with OS plugged in (WIN10) and this error appear.
Laptop was little bit liquid damaged but board was fine, clean. I disconnect all from the board which not must be connected and problem persist.
I run memtest and memory is OK. Please, how can I update bios on this new hp laptop via USB? On official page is manual, but I don't have BIOS update option in diagnostics after pressing F2.
Any idea how to fix it? thanks.

Try a different USB port; try a different USB media stick. We know from experience that not all USB thumbdrives are created equal.

We build products for the PC industry and many of our flash programming tools are DOS based. We use the freeware RUFUS tool to apply our bootable (FreeDOS) and USB thumbdrives. You would be surprised as to how many branded drives are crap and cannot boot the FreeDOS image. Many of the Kingston brand failed.

We know that Lexar work well on all tested platform. In chatting with USB thumbdrive manufacturers in Asia, they confirmed that Kingston used a different controller inside that raised booting issues with Rufus (and perhaps others).

You can also test with a USB 3.0 port on your box (if available). If the USB connector is BLACK = USB 2.0 port. If the USB connector = BLUE / Purple = USB 3.0 port (recommended).

If purchasing a USB thumbdrive, consider a USB 3.0 version.

This is all assuming that your USB port / controller / hub on this logic board is working ok. Try other ports and post your results.

thanks for answer.
I tried another USB stick and also all ports. But nothing changed. And error appear also when HDD is connected only with W10 installed.

It works now. I flash bios with the programmer.. I used bios dump from official page- latest bios.. boot now normally but I need to remove text "Manufacture Programming mode is in unlock mode" and if it's possible add serial and windows key to bios. I know is some tool for this but I can' find it and I don't know how to do it.

Can samoene help me please?
