This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). Macbook A1707 - Guys, please help newbie confirm if chip on picture is a bios one? -
When replacing the screen of this MacBook model, the DP855A chip must be moved from the existing screen for the screen to operate properly.
However, when I removed the DP855A chip from the existing screen, I must have done something wrong and the chip broke.
Testing the chip pins with a multimeter revealed a short circuit inside the chip.

Hi guys I have a Macbook a1707 with motherboard 820-00281, without liquid damage that behaves strangely, with the battery connected the Macbook does not turn on and the USBC meter stops at 5v in loop, when I disconnect the battery the Macbook turns on and works fine, I have already tried to replace the battery twice without success, as soon as I connect the black cable of the battery the Macbook does not turn on, it stops at 5v and in loop.
