    Casper N240 2 in 1 power ic

    hello everyone,
Casper N240 2 in 1 is a intel bay trail windows 10 tablet and notebook. one day after a long charge(my wife forget on the plug) i disconnect and see my charging light always red and not charging the batterty, in time tablet start to not boot and i replace the power ic (axp288).
Now it mostly won't have picture. if picture it says casper(bios logo) and red battery (nearly empty) than turns off. (but i charge the battery with a lipo charger i know it's full)
When on the boot logo if a press the bios button, i can enter the bios without a problem. save and quit bios, tablet restarts and tablet boot normally i can use my tablet until a close it.
    And same loop again.
Now battery charging with tablet, i can read battery level on bios, check every solder on axp288 looks ok.
    Where should i check?

It is not well known as it is a local product. I do not fully understand your problem because my English is poor. Battery stays on charging screen Win10 not loading?

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

Asus Z97-a power cycle, no boot no cpu voltage
            by meraklinetx
Hello, I have an asus Z97-A motherboard and it doesn't start which was working properly before, the problem isn't related by ram, ram slots or psu (I changed all and nothing work), the exact problem is when you switch it on , it starts and after 1 seconds (no boot or display picture) it's off and then on cycle continuously until you power it off from psu also it's responding to the power switch for turning it off if you keep pressing it 3 or 4 seconds (power button pin has 3.3v) , also when you start it with eatx 12v socket connected this is happening (power cycle also all voltages are resetting...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power
            by PantherDave
            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Thinkpad Tablet 2 (2679) No Power
            by Paffo
            Hello,

I recently got my hands on a batch of Thinkpad Tablet 2 that a local business was throwing away. They all have the same issue, no Power.
I do have a working one that i also took and the first thing i did was trying to power it without the battery being inserted.
It seems that these tablets do not work unless the battery is in (my PSU is 5V5A so i doubt it's a current thing, probably design).
I thought i'd be lucky so i took the battery from the working one and i tried it in 2-3 of the broken ones, but no luck, still no power.
            The current draw is 18mA...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
            by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
