HP Envy x360 15-w237cl Help!! Need to replace a blown component

    Hi All,

Was trying to clean the dust and while replacing the component in the attach pic burnt out and smoked.
The laptop model is HP Envy x360 15-w237cl.

End goal is to replace it with the same part or an equivalent. Would appreciate any help or advice towards that goal.

I've tried to google for this laptop model number and the component ID U52202 (See pic), but nothing shows up.

    Pic of the burnt component:

The print says HC6MB (to the best of my ability to read)

Pic of the MB Part number:
    https://ibb.co/bFmk4CR

Pic of the replacement part number:
    https://ibb.co/M91wfFC

    Thank you for all/any help!

    Joe.

      Thank you so much!

I found a video that referred to that specific component (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE4wuuVD06I), but the laptop model was different. Also, the technician in the video couldn't conclusively determine why that component blew out so frequently.

Should I just try it out? and if it's the wrong component, could it cause further irreparable damage?

his component was HC6LA and your is HC6MB so it can be same part.

as his laptop was Spectre x360 and your is Envy x360. i think it is the same component

Thank you for your help! I will look up that number. There was a suggestion that it could be a slightly different part number, based on the following circuit diagram. Do you think it's the same as what you're mentioning? I'm not an electronics engineer, so am having a hard time tracking down this part.

The motherboard makers can use different suppliers for pin to pin compatible parts.
See the attached screenshot from a SY6288C6AAC (Wistron Husk Petra -4M Schematic) ,pin 4 is NC not connected, there is no copper trace between 4 and 5.There`s no datasheet for the silergy part. If the richtek part doesnt work with just pin 5 as Vin you could solder pins 4 and 5 together

Yes. At the bottom of the text editor should be a box that reads "Attach files". Select it to proceed. See attached.

Sounds great, I will check for grounds first, good idea.
Here's a photo of the chip U3501, need to I.D. the exact part please.
