Alienware la-9332P - CPU Temp issue

Hello. Have two of this boys but one of em giving me nuts.

Laptop woks normal, but cpu get VERY hot when max.load and turn off system.
When i aplly full load it JUMP from 50c to 85c and climbing. cooling act like 60c.
when i turn off load it jump from 95 to 55 in second. when i put half load and let cpu heat up fan goes faster and can run for hours on full load.
HW info shows in max load switching between 80c and 95c
i also notices that my VIN switch between 19.1V and 18.9V constantly on full CPU load

after some time on full load with fan speeding, fan goes to middle speed and TEMP stays on 80c and EVERYTHING WORKS OK even VIN stays on 19.1V

it suffers from inserting shorted gpu and it short one of second dcin mosfet

Hi, is this is alienware 18 ?

    what cpu u have inside ? the 4940mx ?

ur VIN is fine, it might be the the heatsink doesnt make proper contact, u can bend up the pins CAREFULLY and slightly and remount it, also use a good thermal paste . i always use cryonaut grizzly. And check if ur heatsink doesnt have visual damages.

the mosfet u can eazily replace. and u c0na measure the MXM gpu for a short on the 2 bigger contacts for continuity.

this is a very well known problem with the alienware MXM models

NO damage work ok. maybe it is some kind of cold contact. when work for few minutes on full load, it switch itself to ok mod and everything start to work like have. temp not switching, VIN is stable, fan goes lower speed

Check ur thermal heatsink pipe, if u have same model laptop, try swap the heat pipe with others, maybe the problem laptop, haved bad spoil heat pipe heatsink.

CPU temp is measured by CPU itself. Sounds like heatsink issue indeed.

sounds like but after few minutes on full load. fan slow and ALL temp and everythng start to work ok, so there is no heatsink issue

Alienware 15 R2 Service Tag: DL7NN32 ISSUE (Battery is not charging)
                    by Simone Vergani
                    Hello everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue with my Alienware 15 R2 (Service Tag: DL7NN32). The laptop works perfectly when connected to the AC adapter — it powers on and functions normally. However, the battery does not charge. If I disconnect the DC adapter, the laptop shuts down immediately, as the battery is at 0%. I have replaced the battery with a new compatible one, but the issue persists. I also replaced the AC adapter with a compatible one, but the battery still doesn't charge.

To assist with troubleshooting, I'm attaching two power circuit schematics:

Alienware Area-51 R2 Boot Loop issue.
                    by abajor
I have the above mentioned Alien Ware A51 R2, currently it randomly will boot into the OS but more often than not it boot loops, I'm assuming there's an issue with power regulation somewhere.
It comes with Dual 180 Watt Dell PSU, which is ironic since the thing claims it requires 420 watts in the bios screen.

To rule out the power bricks I've attempted to power up the Laptop with a 330W and 240W Dell PSU at the same time, it still has the same boot loop issue so the problem is definitely the laptop.

Right now I'm trying to dig through the PDF schematics and Board...

Testing ATX PSUs under load - Does loading the ATX 24 pin also load EPS & PCIE?
                    by AJ847.63e
                    Hi Folks,

Just wanted to clear up a misunderstanding of mine (or what I expect is one). Isn't the 12V rail from the 24 pin, EPS and PCIE separated? IE if I put a power resistor on the ATX 12V pin that is not going to load, thus tell me if the EPS or PCIE rails are fine?

I was recently watching ArIs from Hardware Busters video on how to properly test ATX PSUs without using 5 figure Croma substations.

The PCB adapter he used breaks out the 12, 5 and 3.3V pins from the 24 pin and gives you banana plugs to connect to. That is a bit useless is it not? Aren't...

                    Alienware 15 r2 error 4 beeps code.ram issue
                    by armands0212@gmail.com
Hi all.i have problem with my alienware 15 r2.basically its keep beeping 4 times at startup-what means there is ram issue.i already tried 10 different ram sticks with different speeds and voltages but nothing helps.tried to flash bios to see if that will help-but no luck.
Ram sockets looks fine as well, cleaned them and carefully inspected

So maybe someone had this problem as well with any of dell laptops and have some ideas what else i can do?

                    Thanks

                    by Chippa
Hi, help needed if anyone can spare any knowledge for me.i understand its an old spec now but been reliable enough for me until this.
                    bootup suddenly doesn't show bios screen/menus.So can't do anything!🥴
I don't know how to upload video of what happens.
So I have screenshot 4 pics of what happens when power button pressed.
1st beep from board sounds normal,
                    Bios screen should show up.
I always have connected from onboard hdmi port to TV.
                    Tried VGA lead same issue.
Also tried swap ram,and clean everything.
                    But with no luck.
