    Sourcing Apple macBook replacement screen

Hey guys, can anyone please suggest where I can find reliable and reputable resellers for an apple macBook pro screen assembly?

I have an A1502 EMC2835 (early 2013, MF840LL/A) macbook pro that need a new screen. Am not too trusting of aliexpress or ebay, especially since it's not a cheap screen.

Is this a reliable source?: https://www.firstlcd.com

MF840LL/A is order code for Early 2015. Make sure to get the correct one as 2013/2015 are not compatible between them.
ProTech Restore is a good supplier but they're USA-based. Some people recommend MobileSentrix too. There's also ReplaceBase in the EU.
But it'll really depend on who can ship to your place with reasonable cost.

Hi. Yes, recommend to try XJS (Aliexpress). Have sourced from them 10++ times so far with zero issues, prompt service and often the best pricing.

      https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3299...archweb201603_

Also sourced similar full display assemblies from them for repairs here in Canada. We have used DHL services for shipping. One client had a really banged up bottom plate and they offered us a new plate but with markings ( I think we paid $35 USD for this plate with markings). If you share the full picture of the original bottom side plate, they will replicate the laser markings and you cannot tell the replacement apart from the original - same fonts; same markings; same serial #. Amazing synergy in Shenzhen I would say.

Personally would ask for a 100% New and original OEM with logo full display assembly.

      Good luck!

@piernov; yes sorry, typo. Its indeed early 2015 and not 2013. Thank you for the supplier although ProTech Restore seems to unfortunately be out of the model I need and MobileSentrix is on the high side pricewise. (For some reason the page is loading very slowly and won't let me add to cart).

@mon2; I was actually looking at this particular reseller on aliexpress but wasn't sure of the authenticity of the reviews. Thank you for your recommendation. Would you know the difference between the "New LCD assembly" and "98New LCD assembly"? (I will be contacting the reseller on same). Can't seem to find any info in the description.

Hi. Can vouch for this reseller. They are good people and as noted, used them many times and will continue to do so. To save grief, we purchase the full display assembly so the repair is quick. Always received 100% new product; identical to the original with logo and no dead pixels. Have received 5 star reviews from our clients after the service. Even the plastic tape is onboard the lid of the display assembly - we let the customer remove that at their option.

Be sure you are accurate on the model & color of the display assembly.

Do ask the vendor but 98 new means 98% new and may contain a few (minor) scratches. TBH, we just prefer 100% new. They do test before they ship. It is a good shop.

I see, makes sense And yes, I will ofcourse be using 100% new(provided owner is OK with the cost). The laptop is from someone I know and pretty sure it was never opened before coming to me. I also checked product details using serial number.

MacBook Air A2681 battery problem after Screen Replacement
              by mferna14
Hi, my dear friends., Maybe this might be a stupid question or something I missed or do not know. I have 2 MacBook Air A2681 (Indentical color & EMC #), both LCD screens broken. Before ordering the LCD Screens I confirmed both worked with their respective batteries & AC Adapters, & they did 100%. The LCD Screens came in today & I replaced LCD for the 1st A2681. (Removed Battery Terminal cable for both Laptops before installation of LCDs). Perfect Screen & Booted up fine. But it did not work with battery. I checked the battery connector & it was seated in well/perfectly....

MacBook Air M1 A2337 Screen Replacement - keeping TrueTone
              by MagJ_
              Hello Everybody,

I have a cracked screen and want to fix it. Usually, TrueTone will be gone as long as one does not prune open the screen and exchange only the LCD. However, I have seen the following Youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBNqhp6p_ZM, Solve MacBook M1 Pro screen true tone issue from the channel Master Liu, where only two chips called "display control chip" and "code chip" are swapped over to the new screen. I know, it is for the MacBookPro version. Though, I had the hope that it could work similarly for the MacBook Air as well.

A2141 Screen replacement. Boots screen freezes on Apple Logo 1/3 status bar unless connected to second monitor.
              by abajor
              Having this very weird issue.
The owner of this laptop complained about screen being intermittent when opening and closing, and has been using the laptop on a thunderbolt video connection since the screen failed.

I swapped with a working screen from an A2141 waiting for parts.

The Os exhibits this weird behavior where it boots to to 1/3 the status bar, then it makes the boop sound. It's at the log in but for whatever reason the desktop isn't loaded.

The laptop boots fine into recovery mode. I updated from Monterey to Sonoma and the laptop still has...

              by arahban
              Hello Gentlemen,

I am working on an apple MacBook A2442 board pn 820-02098-A with a visible short on the PMIC U7700 MVK-PLUS as per the schematics

I have a donner board from apple macbook pro m1 A2338 PN 820-02020 and I saw that the PMIC U8100 TMLT46B0-JPE could be a possible replacement for the U7700

Can you please help me confirm if the U7700 can be replaced with U8100 ?

APL1098 is it the same as APL1096

Thank you very much in advanced

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
              by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...
