Hi all,
I have a A1466 (820-00165) on my desk with some wierd behaviour,
It won't power on using either the powerbutton or debug pads. I can only het it to boot (and work perfectly) when I power it down completely (disconnect and reconnect battery) than when I apply magsafe it boots fine. It will als o resume when in sleep.
The problem starts when it is shutdown. it won't respond to powerbutton, debug button, smc-reset etc
I replaced the Trackpad and cable, disconnected the keyboard cable no luck.
When I press the powerbutton on the keyboard I see the SMC_ONOFF_L line going low.
one kinda wierd thing I noticed is that the voltage over R5101 (manual reset) is ~2,7V (but this is the delay input of U5110, when I trigger the manual reset I see the SMC_RESET_L responding correctly
[EDIT]
Oops, didn't look under the board yet,... big humb of green crap next to the SMC, cleaned it off and most of the pads and testpoints are gone, guess that won't do the machine any good... going to see what i can recover
