Hello, I am one the 400 tourists locked down in Goa, no chance to escape from here. Since I know how to hold the right end of a soldering iron people come to me in the hope I can fix their Macbooks etc.pp. I did my best to and could solve 30 Macbooks which were suffering from simple humidity problems. But some have issues where I have to learn how to do this. This is why I came to this forum and I hope you can support me. Here we go with MacBook no 1:
The Macbook 1466 in front of me did not turn on. I opened it up, cleaned all the moisture and dirt. After this I can turn it on but only if I disconnect the IO board cable and run it on battery. As soon as I connect the charger the MacBook will not turn on. I checked the charger by replacing it with a new one. I had the MacBook here and exchanged the IO board with a good one. Also, I could replace the IO board cable with a working one So I guess the problem is on the logic board side Can anyone guide me how to identify and treat the issue? I know round about how to measure but have no idea where to start...
