Asus X550cc run only when jump first mosfet

    Hello.
I have this Asus X550cc that run only when i jump first mosfet. All reading looks good/ACDET, ACOK, VCC/. i replaced two capacitors on gate of that first mosfet, i replaced second mosfet which was shorted, i replaced BQ ic, but still wont run.

    Any advice for this board?

Give the exact voltage on VCC, REGN, ACDET, ACOK, ACDRV, CMSRC, ACN of charger IC.

        without jumped mosfet
        VCC - 19.5V
        REGN - 6.1V
        ACDET - 2.6V
        ACOK - 0V
        ACDRV - pulsing
        CMSRC - pulsing
        ACN - pulsing 3-9V

        with jumped first mosfet
        VCC - 19V
        REGN - 6.1V
        ACDET - 2.62V
        ACOK - 3.0V
        ACDRV - 25V

Measure exact resistance between ACN and ACP, and between SRN and SRP.

have 0.5ohm ACN and ACP and 0.4ohm between SRN and SRP

when jumped mosfet, if i connect power and than battery, it charging normal. when i connect battery and next power, it will go on HIGH consumption like 90W and 20W is normal

this is weird. everything works BUT battery must be attached. without battery i have only 3-4V on VIN rail. I see some models without RTC battery that wont work without main battery, but this board have RTC battery on board/3V/ but wont even power without battery

Re: Asus X550cc run only when jump first mosfet

Have the same issue here with an ASUS N76V v2.2 mainboard.
Have replaced both mosfets with A5 GNE/GNC/GNB like.
AC_DRV gets a pule every 1.3s and at the current shunt, you will see a 19v peak which goes directly down.

It does run fine on a charged battery. When applying DC alone, it draws almost no current (psu says 0.03W every 1.3s).

I'm suspecting the charge pump of the battery controller but no schematics or any sourc e of testpoints is available.

Attached scope images of each of the 20 pins of the battery controller.

Asus X712EA 3 volts after the first mosfet
                      by AppleLover123
                      Hey guys,

i have a asus motherboard here and as the title says after the first mosfet (in the picture) there is nothing more than 3.15v.
I injected 19v and max. 1 amp at the charging port and there is not voltage drop or smth. It's just taking 19v and 1 milliamp.
Then i tried to inject 19v and max 1amp after the current sensor and there it first takes 19v and 4 milliamps and after 2 seconds it is taking nothing (no current).
I measured on the coils on board everything seems fine. Also the main power rail is not shorted (infinite resistance).
                      Now i thought something...

                      Asus GA502D keeps blowing mosfet
                      by Scotchmist
I have an Asus GA502D, it had a blown mosfet which I replaced and the laptop booted into windows, a few mins later it shut off, the same mosfet was blown. I thought maybe just a bad mosfet but same thing happened again, a few mins in windows and shuts off.

I have removed the mosfet and can run the laptop no problem

                      The MOSFET is FDPC5018SG

Can anyone point me in the direction of what could be the cause of this, could it be the controller rt3663bc?

                      Thanks

ASUS ROG Zephyrus GPU Mosfet repeat failure
                      by MicroSMD Lab
The board number is GU502DU. I repaired this a couple weeks ago and it came back with the same issue, same mosfet failed (PQH9201). I'm hoping that the GPU was spared this time.
I used the same replacement part (purchased from Mouser) and I'm certain the soldering was done properly since it took just as much effort to remove as before. What could cause this same mosfet to fail? I'm thinking if it was unsuitable then the others would fail too. I looked for similar failures on YTube and the mosfet was replaced with AOE6930 in one instance and AOE6932 in the other but it's possible that the...

Odd MOSFET only on some ASUS x99/x299/z370 motherboards..
                      by Timp74
                      Hi All,
Could anyone comment on the purpose of the MOSFET circled in red in the attached photo of an ASUS ROG X299 Extreme VRM?

I'm trying to fix an ASUS motherboard(WS x299 SAGE) with a similar VRM where this MOSFET has burnt out along with one of the IR3555m driver chips. From looking at photos of motherboard VRMs on the internet, it seems only some ASUS motherboards have a MOSFET like this. Although I've seen some photos of ASUS z370 boards where it's not populated. The MOSFET is usually a NTMFS4C06N. It has its drain connected to the output of the Vcore VRM, and on...
