    How to Program Mec1633

    my brother have a lenovo X1 Carbon 2nd Generation, he used to protect it with a Bios password but after a while of no use he forget about it ... so i read over the internet about how do i have to reprogram the Bios chip but i found that i have to reporgram the IO MEc1633 using Jtag Connection, ihave a SAS programmer so i just need some guidance in this process ... like what wires i have to connect and what files i have to program into the chips

    In my knowledge, reprogramming the MEC1633 won't erase the password. The password seems to be stored in a separate area outside of the EC BIOS flash storage. Some reverse Engineering specialists found a way to erase and clear the password via a modified driver injected in to the BIOS.
