Hi guys have two Identical Lenovo T460 that came to me with LEd Power Lights up. 5 seconds fan spin then off. all basic voltages are present.19v,5v,3v, 1.3v memory voltage also. As soon as i plug the charger it draws 0.10 amps and stays there. The both of them does the same thing. No signs of water damage on neither of the boards.Been working on it back and forth for 2 months.I tried different bios but the same thing happens. I notice i have no CPU core voltage and i picked up on an apparent short on VCCGFXCORE_I . Was hoping you guys can confirm for me it is indeed a short or maybe low resistance?...

by StephenCustomer plugged in samsung monitor into the board and used it as a power supply, killed UG800 and UG400. I replaced those two with an exact donor board we had In stock and working, board pulls 5volts and then gets like 2.89 amps on the left side. The singular port is the port that failed. Used a perfectly working chips from donor (board was locked) Now I only get 5volts 0 amps on that power and then 20volts 0 amps on the two left side ports, I checked for DFU and nope nothing, computer not turning on. No shorts present anymore. I am confused as I used the exact components from an identical...

by Fisher8865Hi guys
I have a MacBook Pro A1990 that takes 4.9 Volts and .592 to .615 amps on one port. The other port on the left side power cycles with about the same amount of volts an amps but quickly power cycles. The same thing happens on the other side but opposite. So on the left side the bottom port stays on and on the right side it's the top one. I think it is a CD3215 chip but I am not sure how to test it or where to get one. I have checked for voltage at ppbus_g3h and it has 12.6 V which is also on fuses f7000 and f7001 I checked pp1v2_s3 and it has 1.2 V then... -
by StephenCustomer came in with shorted USB C chips, replaced and the chips are now responding beautifully HOWEVER, I am only getting 5Volts .25 amps (sometimes .243 amps) I see that the T2 chip is turning on, but I am not seeing any voltage at the SSD rails for example,
PP5VG3S_EN is not present which would somewhat indicate a PMIC U7800 issue, but I checked the voltage on the PMIC and that is present and not shorted. I tested for PP5V_G3S and those rails are not present.
ISL9240HI is present, I am also getting 12.30 volts at PPBUS_G3H so no shorts there. Both CD3217 chips were successfully... - Loading...
