Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell Latitude 7420, 7320 voltage changed
          by Ferimonka
          Hi there,

I got 2 Dell laptops with a locked bios (dell management protection).
When I sent the dumps to this forum I got unlocked .bin files.

The issue I am getting the voltage on the bios chip pins has changed once I soldered the chip back (with the unlocked even original bios file) and doesn't turn on anymore.

Before I started to re-program the chip the voltage on the pins were 3.3V almost on each pin. Once I soldered the chip, voltage changed to 1.9V or 1.3V on few pins. No 3.3V anymore.

I appreciate any help to get me this...

Dell Inspiron 5100 (2003) with RAM issues (voltage, PSU suspect ??)
          by 13mh13
          Here's my device:
          LAPTOP: Dell Inspiron 5100 (2003) 2.4Ghz p4, dual-boot: Windows XP pro, sp1 + LinuxMint ( LM 17.1 MATE ), with 128GB ssd, 512mb ddr sodimm.

The 5100 runs fine, even after 19 years of daily, gentle use, "always on", and on adapter power only.
HOWEVER, over the past 5-6 years there has been a restart-up issue (after power down or power loss --- I leave all my PCs/laps in daily use in ALWAYS-ON condition, even going months w/o re-boots, but the inevitable always happens) .
Seconds to few mins after pressing the power button to restart...

Dell Latitude E5450 LA-A901P no BIOS voltage
          by BMCappelletti
          Hello.

I'm trying to toubleshoot a Dell Latitude E5450 that, at first, did not have any sign of life.
Charger would go into protection mode and I was able to find a bad cap (PC717 in the boardview file attached). I removed it and now I have a white light on power button, but it turns on and off, after about 15 seconds.
I can find 19V, 5V and 3.3V coils but I could not find 3.3V in the BIOS chip (this model has just one).
In the schematic (also attached) I can see the BIOS is component UC2 and 3.3V should come from +3.3V_SPI. Is that right?
