820-00840-a 00875-a SMC compatible?

Hi,

anyone knows if SMCs from these boards are compatible? I have 820-00875-a with bad smc, and a 820-00840-a donor board. They are very similar, same ram amount, 00875 has 2,0 i5, 00840 has has 2,3 i5.

Not sure, 00875 is the 2016 model while 00840 is the 2017 model. They are very close so it may work. RAM and CPU don't matter.
