Thinkpad X1 Carbon 2nd gen missing bios chip

I don't know the history of this. I bought it from someone as parts. His story was that it just quit one day and it put it away in the closet and now he is selling (I guess I paid too much.)

Pushing the power button would light up and backlight on the touchbar (I don't remember now if the lcd backlight comes on)

    LMQ-1 12298-2

    CPU is i7-4600U

I pull out the board and notice there is no bios chip! Schematic has two bios chips 8mb and 4mb.

How do I figure out which one?

      Ok Thanks.

I wrote 8mb or 4mb but it is actually 8MB or 16MB in the schematic.
I don't know what "vpro" is, so was unsure if the board needed it.
