    2011 13" A1369 820-3023-A Liquid Damage

    Hello All,

Got my hands on a Macbook Air with a fair amount of liquid damage around the SMC.

First boot produced constant high fan, endless loading boot logo, and no trackpad / keyboard response even after SMC reset and PRAM reset with a usb keyboard. I was able to run ASD which showed 2 fan errors along with a Ts0P sensor failure. A little research revealed that Ts0P is the temperature sensor in the trackpad and will cause the fan to run high, which makes sense since the trackpad cable was one of the most corroded areas. Without a matching donor board, the first thing I did was reflow the SMC to attempt to get more life out of the board and hope for the best.

After the reflow and an ISO bath, I was able to succesfully boot the machine. Everything now works properly except for the trackpad, keyboard, and WiFi(no hardware installed error). I decided to check out the rails on the keyboard connector (J5700) to see if they were all present, and discovered that half of them were not there and PP5V_TPAD_FILT was reading low at 3.3V. I traced the lines back to U5700 and saw that there was still some corrosion present and the readings were way off, so I replaced that IC with another one I got off a different logic board. Checked the connector and all voltages are present, but still nothing from the trackpad / keyboard.

I've got a top case on the way and when it arrives it will hopefully take care of the trackpad / keyboard and the fan.

IF that all goes well, there's still the issue of the missing WiFi. I've checked around the WLAN circuit and everything is in range, unless I'm missing something.

    My questions are:

    1. If the top case doesn't sort out the trackpad / keyboard issue, where do I go from there?

    2. If everything checks out with the WiFi, could I have a partially bad SMC?

As always, any guidance or input would be greatly appreciated!

[Macbook pro A1708] [Boot loop] [Trackpad ?]
    by No Lan
    Hey everyone,

Usually, I'm not the type to ask for help, but this time, I'm calling on your wisdom and expertise I've seen what this community can do, so I'm pretty sure you guys can help me out.

Here's the deal: I noticed my MacBook got stuck in a boot loop. After opening it up and doing some initial troubleshooting, I found that the boot loop stops only when the trackpad is unplugged.

Now, just so you know, the trackpad actually works — I tested it with another motherboard and it's all good. Same for the cable, no issues there. The problem is only...

    MBA13 M3 2024 A3113 EMC8611 820-03285 No Trackpad No Keyboard (water damaged)
    by guzq
    Hi Guys,

This Mac come with dead issues (severe water damage), now it’s turning ON except Trackpad and Keyboard not working.

Already check and write down DM for JT400 and JT201 don’t find any abnormal value (I don’t have unit for compare).

    Already try,
    • Replacing Trackpad Flex Cable
    • Replacing New Trackpad
    • Replacing Little Board (Daughter Board)
    • Try using New Keyboard
Still no change at all, Trackpad and Keyboard not working.

So I check “Power Load Switches” and this is all the numbers,
    UC830 > 1 = 3.297V ; 3 =1.757V ; 4 = 3.798V...

    820-00426 (A1398 2015) no trackpad, no keyboard.
    by nicocorradini
Hi! I have this 2015 A1398 with 820-00426 board that's driving me crazy. It originally came because of charging problems (MagSafe Board roasted, also MagSafe cable, etc. After disassembly, clean and assembly, my assistant (literally) broke FL803 and other componentes. Obviously, no screen or backlight. After replacing them, and also the LVDS connector, and LVDS flex on the screen, the board started fine, charges, chimes, shows Apple Logo, but surprise: no more trackpad or keyboard.

    Important notes:
-Click works, so, trackpad is alive.
    -Already tried with another trackpad,...

    A1502 Trackpad not working
    by marce002
This is really incredible insane, and a total wate of monkey money:

A1502 board is 820 -3536-A no water damage... all works but not the trackpad. keyboard works fine, but fan spins fast. rest is ok macos boots ok... "D" diagnostic shows error NDK003 (aditional ref is PPF003 which denotes keyboard problem, but it works fine... all keys), so:

    1) Bought a new trackpad , still not working

    ok

    2) Bought a new MOTHER!!! (*crazy am i) identical brand new alliexpress, all works but still NO TRACKPAD and fans spin fast.
