    ASUS X542URR-DM399 Laptop laptop does not start on battery

    ASUS X542URR-DM399

    turns off instantly when you unplug


    I investigated this same Asus Vivobook model chronic problem

    They say send it to the service. My battery is 98%, but the laptop shuts down the minute I pull it. This happened when I wanted to change the HDD to SSD

    BIOS updated. What could the service do and fix it? Can you help me?


    I tried removing the battery and plugging it in for 60 seconds while pressing the power button on the laptop and removing the acpi controller.

      You have to check the third MOSFET that gives the power from the battery to the MB, find out the schematic or bordview , and check all pins of battery connector with battery inserted and adapter With the help of multi meter

          Dear friend,

          I've registered in this forum only to help you on you quest since it was also my problem. The reason is that you still didn't put all the screws in. This laptop (or others maybe?) needs that all screws be in place so that that battery works again. Maybe to avoid any short circuit in the PCB... Trust me it will work.

                  Hello Everyone!

                  I have an Acer Aspire A315-42 laptop. I generally leave it on for long time by closing down its lid (so it enters the sleep mode). Recently, it rained quite heavily in out area. And the humidity and moisture seem to be high. So one late evening, after I opened the lid and turned on the laptop, it did power on as the blue light turned on but after it booted to the desktop screen, just 5-10 seconds after both the screen and blue light went out and laptop shut down (the blue power light turned orange).                   My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

                  Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

                  My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
                  The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

                  I have acer laptop tmx314-51 with part no 6050A3020501.
                  The laptop is working fine on adapter and battery is also charging and when adapter is disconnected in on state the laptop gives backup on battery and gives good backup.
                  But when laptop is powered on through battery only the laptop does not power on and there is 0 voltage on battery connector.
                  I have not not tried another battery as it is not available locally could this be a battery problem.have checked discharging mosfet and there is no shorting to ground on any pin of battery connector.
                  The schematic is not available...
