    Wson8 Bios?

    Hi First time doing this and im learning as I go along, I have a x360 Elitebook that im trying to backup / flash the bios.

    I have purchased SOIC8 clip (purchased a kit from Ebay). I am trying to connect the to the bios chip but the clips do not connect / reach to the flat gold plated / pins on the board. Secondly I have resquested for a Schematics / Boardview so just waiting to hear if any one has one.

    As I looked into it more (on this forum / youtube) I have learnt the laptop bios i a Wson8 bios, I ID this by various searches online (again im waiting for the schematics but im sure they are the bios chips, x2 chips both are Winbond, different sizes)

    Is there a way to connect to this type of chip without desoldering? Anyone modify the soic8 clip somehow to connect to it?

      No, the pins are underneath, it needs to be removed with hot air first before programming off the board.

              2022 Razer Blade 14 (RZ09-0427) won’t boot after Windows update, only the green LED blinks - overheated or BIOS?

              Hi folks,

              My son clicked “Update and Shutdown” on a Razer Blade 14 (2022, RZ09-0427), closed the lid, disconnected the charger, and put the laptop in his backpack. The next day, it wouldn’t boot: only the green LED blinked, no fans, no keyboard backlight, no display. The chassis does get warm, so the CPU/GPU seems to get power.

              What I’ve tried so far: disconnecting the main battery, CMOS reset with power drain (30s), using a different power adapter, and connecting to the monitor - same result.

              I assumed that Windows Update was interrupted due to closing...

              ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?

              Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
              With original bios no POST, only LED lights
              With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
              Some issues
              A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
              B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

              Things I tried

              Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

              Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...
