Dell 1720 caps key blinking

Hi,

i have dell 1720 when switch on the caps key is blinking.
according to dell it is memory problem BUT both memories have 1.8v on caps WHICH IS CORRECT.
i have changed memory modules but same problem.
does anyone have any idea about it.

Does it it actually boot? If yes, boot into memtest86 latest version and test memory.

Going to BIOS and loading safe defaults or something similar might solve the issue.

it was booting and install windows without display drivers.
when i installed vga drivers the laptop was freezing.

now does not turn on at all and caps key is blinking

If it has an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, it's most likely dead.
