    Unknow component

    Hp folio 1040 g3,
external board, two wire of the flat cable has burned.
(pin 11 +3VPCU and 12 GND) there are few component on this small board.
X322 tested with MK-328, it result as unknow or damaged.
    It's a transistor ?

Hall effect sensor (lid switch) or some thermal sensor would be my best guess.

        I agree with it being a Hall sensor, Pin1 = supply (+2v) pin2 = output, pin3 = ground
        Likely similar to Allegro A3212

I made a typo in the above post, it should be:
          I agree with it being a Hall sensor, Pin1 = supply (+3v) pin2 = output, pin3 = ground
          Likely similar to Allegro A3212

Yes Hall sensor/lid switch beyond any doubt.

That's a lid switch. With that thing broken your LCD might not turn on (or off). You can short that thing so that it's on all the time. Find ground, short the other two pins. (careful here, I might be wrong, it could be one of those other pins short to ground) Or, better option would be to get similar component from another laptop, doesn't have to be HP, component doesn't have to be same exact one.. Sometimes it works..

What you should have posted is numbers on the board, from above and from bellow. It's listed as #5 function board 844420-001 on page 16 of maintenance and service guide, and on inet pictures look very different to your board. (different revision) But the sensor is there if you look carefully.

Your LCD is not turning on? Short pins or take similar part off of another laptop, or order this same board.

There is no free schematics for your laptop. At least not with information that you provided. However there is boardview (not for your daughterboard) and service and maintenance guide. Attached.

There you go. Datasheet for your component.

It is a TSH282 Sensitivity Unipolar Hall Effect Switch

The problem is that this small card affects the power button. without it, as usual, when you press the power button, 3.3 V goes to GND and the motherboard changes state and starts up. With the card connected (flat damaged), the 3.3Vs do not go to GND but stand at around 2.1V. If forced to GND, the card also starts regularly with the card attached. I try to replace the hall sensor but it isn't in short so I don't know if the problem regard directly it.

It is. Now that we talking about this stuff, I do remember repairing several HP notebooks with similar issues. Solution was always to swap this board. I didn't even bother with sensor, I had similar notebooks in donors, took out the card, and swap it, and it worked.
