Toshiba A300-15B password remove

Hello.

I have a toshiba A300-15B with password. After poweron and splash screen asks for password.
Tried allready with jumper G1 (under memory) - if I keep shortcircuit, laptop does poweron but no splash screen. If I shortcircuit jumper after logo it's freezing. After release short it's ok.

Any ideas? Or I should reflash EC and BIOS?

Hello,

Just flash the bios chip and it will be OK.
I think that if you short circuit the jumper only the setting go back to default.

My laptop doesn't have B500 pads. Only G1. But I allready done that and didn't work.

Remove Ram,Battery then try short or turn on short jump in 15sec then turn off then install Ram check what happen.

Remember, the jumper has to be shorted only once-if you do it twice the password wont go away. All this has to be done without cmos battery and only on ac power.
