Howdy.
I'm hoping to find a recommendation for a shop in NE Ohio that repairs boards. A new board is $800, and that's from a shady vendor.
Anyway, I actually have two m/b's from two different ASUS ROG Laptops.
1st MB - Battery connector to the motherboard came off, taking two pads with it. Connector then cracked in half.
2nd MB - Charging port failed. I replaced it, and, thanks to my astute powers of observation, I attached it wrong side of the board! When I removed it and attempted to put the new port on the correct side of the board, it all went to hell.
I'd attempt repairs again but, to be honest, my lack of skill is amplified by serious hand tremors.
I'm hoping to find someone in North East Ohio just because I like to support local businesses, but I'm more than willing to ship the boards if needed. I've tried several of the local shops, but they are only "we replace the board" kind of places, and I can do that if I want to drop 50% of the original purchase price on a new board.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
