asus g751jy realtek RTL8111GUX not detected

The motherboard was "fried" during the stormy day from lan port. The RTL8111GUX chip was heavy burned so i remove it. The motherboard would start but no picture...after help from Caspian i determined that the one logic chip was dead, and once i replace it and reinstalled correct vbios and bios chip the motherboard came to life.

Today everything is working except realtek RTL8111GUX lan chip...it is not recognised in device manager and when i wont to install drivers i got this message "The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable" so i bought the second chip but still the same...
When measuring the chip i can read on +3vsus lan 3v and on 1v lan net i read about 0,4 v. The chip is heating a lot...
    Any ideas?

          finally made it
after i replaced 5 realtek ethernet chips (3 new, and 2 from donor boards) and 4 used x3301 from other boards....nothing... i was thinking to change pch or give up...Then i recieved the same motherboard (completely dead) so i used rtl8111gux and x3301 from that board...and finally ... it works... I dont understand why? i can not believe that i had 5 bad realtek ethernet chips...maybe its got something to do with the fact that it is same board and i used same x3301....but i dont know...
Anyway...i report it here..maybe someone will have some use of this information in the future...

Guide to transplant MEC1503 EC chip and EEPROM reprogamming for T14s gen 2 and X13 gen 2
            by acedogblast
This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

Asus Chromebox CN62 - wrong chip put on BIOS reader
            by BMCappelletti
            Long story short:
            - dad converted Asus Chromebox CN62 into Windows compatible, with mrchromebox BIOS, years and years ago
            - gave the computer to his son a couple years later
            - son now decided to revert it to Chrome OS, to sell it as original (re-writing BIOS with the backup one created by his dad)
            - too lazy to remove the board from the case, thought a voltage regulator was the BIOS chip (you know... it has 8 legs)
(seems like the story was not that short)

He used alligator clips to read the chip. No luck reading it. Removed chip and placed on a SOC-8...

Problem Flashing Macronix MX25L6445E BIOS Chip with CH341A and EZP2019+ on ASUS X455LD
            by pengamat_hebat
            Hello everyone,

I'm trying to flash the BIOS chip Macronix MX25L6445E from my ASUS X455LD laptop using both a CH341A and an EZP2019+ programmer, but I keep encountering issues.

Reading the chip works perfectly, and I can extract the BIOS dump without any problems.

However, erasing and writing fail every time, regardless of the software I use. (Neo, asprog, ch341, etc)

I also tried applying 3.3V to pin 3, but it still didn't work.

I attempted to unprotect the chip, but when I read it back, the registers remained unchanged.

Asus X571GT repair chip replace and tips wanted
            by Jeroentje
            Hi

I try to repair a asus Asus X571GT (DA0XKTMB8C0) no power no lights.
I saw a burned (small hole in it) chip (JW10F) proberly a TPS22976DPUR, I removed it, now with power connected the laptop turns on and direct off again, power led and fn will light up.
            I found on a donor lenovo board a G2898KD1U (wa9y), looks the same ..
Result is still the same, turns on and direct off again, first attempt is with backlight on all other direct attempts are only the power and fn led.

Could it be the chip is to diffrent to make the laptop work again ?

ASUS TP412F 3.3V Regulator chip gets very hot
            by mferna14
Hi all., I am working an ASUS TP412F., motherboard Model TP412FAC R: 2.0. The problem I am facing is the 3.3 buck converter (L8=7J RT6256BGQUF) gets very hot when 19v is applied through DC-in jack. I don't think Schematics or Boardview is availble for this model. The chip get so hot that I can't even take the voltages of the pins. I replaced the chip but the problem is still there, new chip even gets very hot. The input on pin 5, 19v is present. So I removed the Output coil & the chip & checked the voltages on the chip pads which are as below: Please view if any volts seem to be abnormal....
