Help me understand this schematic Harman&Kardon tape deck (TD470)
    by edugimeno
    Hi there!
Im trying to service an old Harman&Kardon tape deck (TD470) player, which after being put away for many years, is now lacking sound randomly (first time I tried it worked, called the owner and said it wasn't working for him, tried again myself and sound was gone)

This intermitent issue led to to go straight to the PS & Caps...I found at least one voltage missing (sorry now I can't remember which one), and one of the 3 fuses in the PS was open (this is strange as an intermitent failure wouldn't relate to a blown fuse).

    First thing I suspected...

    Dell Latitude 5520 completely dead
    by diamon
I have bought a not complete and defective Dell Latitude 5520 for parts (needed the networkconnector (RJ45) to repair a other board).
Have repaired the other board (Dell Latitude 5540) and I wanted to know if I could find out what is wrong with the 5520 board (SouthPeak15 TGL MB 8L 19819-1) and perhaps repair this one also.

After connecting the USB-C charger (both USB-C ports on the laptop, does not have an other option) and pressing the power button, nothing happens (no lights or fans, no capslock).
Have checked with a thermal camera, and there are a couple of things...

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) - 5V, won't turn on - please help me understand why
    by mkdj
    Hello everyone,

About me, my goal and the equipment I (don't) have:
I am brand new to this forum, and I am eager to learn about repairing laptops. I have an engineer background although I haven't done electronics for a while. I have watched several Youtube videos in the last two months, trying to understand how to diagnose a faulty motherboard. I have a USB-C Amp meter and a classic multi meter. No DC Power Supply to inject voltage, no soldering iron to replace components.

About my issue and my goal:
A friend of mine has a MacBook Air M1 A2337 that does not...

    Acer x163w Monitor PSU schematic
    by atunguyd
Ii wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Acer x163w monitor which is not powering up. The PSU main capacitor's one leg had completly come off - I replaced it but the PSU is still not outputting DC. I found the monitor in questions service manual here on manuals lib but the schematic in there is a completely different - the schematic shows no mosfet to drive the transformer while the one I have does use a mosfet - also the schematic shows only one optocoupler but mine has two.
The PSU board is labelled FM-20A02-AAA made by APD as per the image below. I am trying to find a schematic for this...
