    Dell Laptop Dead.

SO I have a dead dell laptop that does not turn on. I also do not see any shorting when using DC power supply.

The board does have 3 /5 ALways voltage . there is not voltage on PIN 8 of the Bios Chip though.

Also I am attaching a pic and would like to know why I am getting 0 voltage on the other end of the resistor

      Re: Dell Laptop Dead.

      for me it's normal PQ903 N Channel Mosfet gate Voltage 5V S & D GND
      +B 19V with Voltage Dividers 20K &100K 3.64V OK to PQ903 Gate pass to conduct 19V to B+BIAS

send the Schmatic to find out adsent of 3.3V in bios leg 8

Thanks. After giving some heat on the SIO Chip now the laptop starts but has no display and no post.( Schematic attached )
Even after removing the Ram , there is no beep . The fan spins and two LEDS glow. The PCH also slightly warm.

Where should I start now ? Any checkpoints please..

Check voltages on Vcore coils and Ram. Might be bios issue

Dell E6540 laptop completely dead after dssasembly
                    by max-power
Hi, I disassemble my laptop to replace the speakers, to access them, you have to remove everything including the heat sink and fan, unscrew the motherboard, lift it up a bit to access the speaker wire.
that was not the first time I dissasemble it, i did replace the same speaker a few year ago and I repaste it last year, so I had nothing to worry about. but when I put everything back together, its completely dead.

After a bit of investigating, i found one pin of the status led ribbon cable that was unglued from the cable and bend touching another pin, I bend it back at his place...

Modifying output voltage of an Old Dell laptop charger
                    by Vampy_1110
I'm trying to turn this old dell laptop psu into a variable power supply (5-19.5) as i have already modified a few power supplies before and now i want to do the same with this but it's a bit complicated
The pic below has an op-amp ic (Z103WA) that does the CC/CV adjustments and a double diode 3 pin ic at the far right
As you can see there's no TL431 or Switching ic self-regulations that i can tweak easily.
                    Any help would be appreciated

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
                    by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Old Dell E5400 Laptop ( Purchased in the year 2008)
                    by Mots06
Hi, I'm unable to find the motherboard number (PPID number) or the board view for this old laptop. My laptop won't start, and when I enter the serial number on the Dell website, it says the number is invalid. The sticker on the bottom is unreadable because it has faded over time. Unfortunately, I'm unable to start the laptop to use the power cell or explore other options.I needed the CMOS Cell & it also seems the Laptop will not start now because of the power switch issue, which is yet to be detected.
