    Sony Vaio SVE1713P4E Black Screen

    Hi guys maybe someone can advise

    I have a faulty Sony Vaio SVE1713P4E here

    The charging light comes on (with PSU attached)

    When I press the power button the power LED lights green. The HDD led flashes orange once (there is currently no HDD fitted). The fan is working and after a several seconds the HDD led flashes orange twice and the Wireless LED lights up green.

    Hold down the power button for several seconds and the Wireless LED goes off then the power LED fades off

    However the screen is blank black.

    The same sequence happens without the charger connected, apart from the charging LED is not lit.

    I tried removing the DDR memory, there are two DDR so I tried fitting one at a time but it didn't make any difference.

    I also tried a VGA monitor conected to the laptop but have no picture on that either

    Any suggestions?

      mb number?? Does it has discrete graphics??

              Weird issue with this tv. Was streaming to the from a computer when it stopped working and the screen went black. Ever since then there has been. o image. Just a black screen. The audio works and yhe backlights do come on when it's powered on, it's just a black image. It presented like a backlight issue. So I finally got around to getting new backlights and a backlight tester. All of them test the same as the good backlights with the same voltages. There are no blinking lights. Just the white led at startup and when buttons on the remote are pressed signaling it's receiving from the remote....

              Sony XBR-75X950G seems dead with a black screen but backlight and sound is working and no blinking red lights

              I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

              Problem

              This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
