    Aerogate Netbook H-S30 boot problem

    Hi,

Have been using this low end netbook since
year 2012 without issue but suddenly it shuts
down after about 3 hours use. I reboot by press
on button, it starts but shut down again before
the bios screen appears. Not battery issue since
I plugged on the ac adapter.

So i thought it is a heat problem and open up
the casing. Cleaned the cpu fan using a brush
and i also reapply new thermal grease on the
heatsink. But it still shuts down after 3 second.

Appreciate for any help on how to resolve this
3 second shutdown. Thank you in advance.

Re: Aerogate Netbook H-S30 boot problem

    Hi,

Today i try plug in ac adapter and do some voltage test.
On front of MB(motherboard), i put my black probe of
my Dmm(digital multimeter) on screw hole while red probe
on top right DC_JACK2 got reading of dc 21.3v. My ac adapter
output dc19v. Too bad i am unable to get any schematic on
    this netbook.

Then i move my red probe to almost middle part of MB( near
chip U3) at FB2 and got reading of dc 3.7v. Next i probe at FB3
    which also reads dc 3.7v.

Going further down on right hand side of yellow cmos
battery, i put red probe on +C180 and got reading of
dc 5.7v. Btw, i check dc on yellow cmos battery is dc 3.1v.

For info, i had attached front and back of MB. I did not
notice anything unusual on the back, so did not do
any test. Still will appreciate your kind help in resolving
    no power. Thank you.

      Hi ,

Finally got it, the culprit of auto shut off
after power on is the faulty wifi card.
Pulled it out of motherboard and netbook
start power up like normal now.

      Case close.

        Dell optiplex 7090 boot problem
        by mpower1226
Hi masters, need your help in solving this mystery.

i have a dell optiplex 7090 micro that i bought from local kijiji.

when i turn it on, error comes out saying no hard disk.
i go to bios to check the boot option, only httpboot shows. If i try to add boot option, it only shows file search but nothing happens when i click.

i took out the ssd and put it into old laptop and format and installed the windows 10 and put it back into the desktop. It boots up and same error again no hard disk.
it seems as if the computer doesnt recognize the ssd...

Dell E6420 XFR Rugged starts to boot but after 3 secs shuts down.
        by Shobos
Hi, I bought 6420 XFR that tries to boot but shuts down after about 3 seconds, CPU gets warm, fan starts.
So far I have tested all rails wich are good, BIOS flashed with CH341, 3.3,5, main rail present. multiple ram sticks tested. Sometimes it might stay on for longer like 4-5 seconds but not always, theres no picture whatsoever. Also on some rare occasions the caps lock flashes 1 time by itself.
NOTE: I am using bench power supply not dell charger with ID pin and NO battery present, kinda doubtful this would cause this issue.
Any help is welcome. Thanks !

Vivobook shuts down shortly after boot - even in BIOS
        by Robocop
        Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what's causing my laptop to boot up, but then shut down after about 30 seconds. It does the same thing whether I'm in BIOS or booting into Windows.
        Here are the specs:
        • Model: ASUS Vivobook Go 15 (E1504GA-BS31-CB)
        • CPU: Intel Core i3-N305 1.8 GHz
        • RAM: 8GB DDR4 (onboard)
        • Storage: 256GB M.2 NVMe SSD
        • Motherboard: E1404GA_MB REV:2.1 E89382 MV04 HSB J 2426 94V-0
The laptop was working fine earlier. The user closed the lid to put it to sleep (as they always do), and when they tried to use it again a few hours later, it started shutting...

Nintendo Switch Oled HEG-001: Second-Stage Boot Failure
        by privato89
        Hello everyone,

I'm facing an issue with a HEG-001 motherboard that is unable to complete the Second-Stage Boot. I'd like to start directly with my conclusion, which is the decision to replace the MAX77621AEWI chip, and understand if it could be a correct evaluation.

Before I dive into the process that led me to this decision, I want to mention that I have a fully equipped lab where I can perform any kind of tests.

        Let's begin:

Following some guides online, I tried to understand how the Boot phase of the Nintendo Switch works, and what are the...
