Find fault in charger

Recently I got a faulty laptop charger. Now that I want to make it work. How should I start with and what tools should I have at my disposal?

Get the case open using a blade along the seam and a multimeter for measuring inside.
Post back once you have it open.

Post decent photos of both sides of the PCB so we can tell you what to measure.
