Hi,
Ive got a weird problem with a Water damaged MacBook Air A1466 ( 820-3437-B )
After ultrasonic cleaning and fitting a new DC-in board everything seemed fine.
- The board passed all tests in ASD EFI 3S156
- But it would not even boot the ASD OS 3S156 - it just freezes on the spinning wheel loading screen
- Booting into macOS goes to a black screen with a mouse pointer but no further
- Booting into macOS safe mode works just fine.
- Resetting SMC & PRAM makes no difference
last time I tried booting into a Sierra USB stick it gave me the following kernal panic:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff801349e54b): TLB invalidation IPI timeout: “ “CPU(s) failed to respond to interrupts, unresponsive CPU bitmap…………etc.
The water damage was not that severe and nothing near the CPU so im guessing it must be something like a resistor or cap that leads to the cpu but I am just guessing at this stage.
Can anyone offer some helpful pointers?
