Need help with LA-5051P

Hello,

I have a Packard Bell LJ71. The motherboard is LA-5051P and the problem is that I have black screen.

I thought it was the graphics card, so I bought another one, exaclty the same and it still does not work. The fan starts to spin when I turn on the laptop, and it spins so it doesnt stop. I have a bootable usb inside and I have the feeling that it works just that I cannot see anything. Tried to connect external display over hdmi and rgb but wont show anything.

I also attached the schematics of the board.

Please help me.

if you turn it on and caps lock and num lock reacts computer is on and its vga chip problem... you might wana try to check another display or or lcd cable but...

Hello,
I have the same motherboard, and the same problem.
I replaced the video card, BIOS bat, cpu, ram, measured the voltages PJ1 to PJ18,
all seems OK.
Do you have any information?

Probably the culprit is the ATI RS780M , press it gently and at the same time turn on , if the screen appear this chip must be replaced.
if there are the glue at the corners try to heat the chips for a few seconds and press power button.

A very good diagnostic !!!!.
I heated to air the ATI RS780M and the bios is ok.
I hope this will suffice because I do not have the hardware to replace a chips so important.
I still have a small problem, the pad does not work and the 2 right and left contacts under the pad also.

There is a bad touch on the flap of the touchpad.
and if the pad is not recognized, both buttons are disabled.
I'm going to replace the Touchpad flap.
I think everything is OK.
