Hello,
I have a Packard Bell LJ71. The motherboard is LA-5051P and the problem is that I have black screen.
I thought it was the graphics card, so I bought another one, exaclty the same and it still does not work. The fan starts to spin when I turn on the laptop, and it spins so it doesnt stop. I have a bootable usb inside and I have the feeling that it works just that I cannot see anything. Tried to connect external display over hdmi and rgb but wont show anything.
I also attached the schematics of the board.
Please help me.

Re: LA-6582P Rev1.0 - No Power
One more hint, take out the CPU while you work on your motherboard, if there are parts getting hot fix those and if all seems ok, plug the CPU back in and see if it powers up correctly.
Cheers!

Re: LA-6582P Rev1.0 - No Power
Check that with your CPU sounds really bad :/
I mainly use freeze spray, saw that videos on youtube about that aircan but I really dont bother cause you will just need 1 can for the future so the investment of about 10€ is not much.
Use freeze spray like this industrial ones:

Dont use those injury medical freeze sprays, cause...

Re: LA-6582P Rev1.0 - No Power
When it gets hot it usually means there is a shortage somewhere in the circuit.
Best option I like to do is to first take out power adapter, then get some freez spray and spray it on the area which gets hot. When its still liquid like, blow slightly with your mouth it will get all white frozen. Plug in the ac adapter and look at the components which gets first melted. Usually this one is in shortage.
Afterwards look what number the component has (ex. PQ102) and track it in the schematics. Another step is, if it is for example...

Re: LA-6582P Rev1.0 - No Power
Answer to Noob question 1:
Best way is to take the mosfet out. If you got a good heatgun (ex. heatgun station) you can take it out easy and "resolder" it back easy. If you take it out, take both middle pins on each side and put your multimeter on diod test mode, the readin should be between 0.100 and 0.500.
To find out which side is positive and which side is negative there is a number on the chip even or odd ex. 8744 -> even and you put the positive lead I think on the 2 & 3 pins , and accordingly the negative...Last edited by onlyprinzp; 04-09-2017, 12:59 PM.

Re: HP Pavilion DV7-1015eg Power issue
Hey piernov,
thank you for your reply. I am a bit noob, I put my multimeter on ohms autorange and put the sticks on each side. I tested it with C1098,C1099 and C1100 but it always says 0.0 like nothing.
I then took my dc power supply, put it to 0.9V about 3.5A, desoldered C1108 and attached the + to the board, attached the - to gound. Very strange is that I get 0.014V only when I measure both wires with my multimeter?
I really do not know whats happening?

HP Pavilion DV7-1015eg Power issue
Hallo everyone,
I have a problem with my HP Pavilion DV7 1015eg. The main problem is that when I press the power on button all LEDs blink for a split second and nothing happens. The LED on the power jack turns off aswell! I need to take out the adapter and hold the power button for 5 seconds put it back in and the LED of the jack lights up again. If i press the power button same happens, all leds light up for a split sec and nothing. When I connect the battery the charging led lights up and after 3-5s it starts blinking in 1Hz infinitly.
I took out the whole board from...Last edited by onlyprinzp; 04-02-2017, 04:55 PM.
