      MSI GT62VR-6RD MS-16L21 - PL10 an PL11 doesn't have voltages.
      by user54321
      hello!

      MSI GT62VR-6RD MS-16L21
      PL10 an PL11 doesn't have voltages. Resitance on these coils 3.5Ohm. It is good rsistance for SR2FQ.
      At U11 VCC and VIN ok
      VR_ENABLE=3V ok
      VR_READY=3V ok
      ALERT#=0V not ok
      SDA only static 1V, no data
      SCL only static 1V, no clock
      Pin19 to Pin20 sense loop ok
      pin32 to pin33 sense loop ok

      And i set U11 in test mode by replacing PR43 to 20kOhm (U11 Pin 40). In this mode U11 generates 1.05V. So in this mode 1.05V i on PL10 and PL11 available. It means +VCC_CORE voltage supply is ok.

      Dell studio xps 1340 (DA0IM3MBAG0) hot System 5v/3v chip
      by dwnisup91
      Hey
      I'm a beginner trying to fix a dead dell laptop motherboard. When the power adapter and the FFC that connects the power button is connected I noticed the Sys 5v/3v chip gets extremely hot to touch. I disconnected the FFC and the Sys 5v/3v chip was still warm. The voltages of Pq43 and Pq46 are at 19v which I think is fine. PQ42 and PQ44 both show 3.1v which I think shows something is wrong. I checked the chemical capacitors PC170 and PC159 and I get 0v. I am not sure why this happened or what to do to fix the issue. Any help or advice is appreciated! Thanks

      Electronics Repair Fails and Mistakes
      by NikolaosPet
      Hello guys. Long time ago I was fascinated by electronics so I started learning more and more about them. I was always fascinated by the fact that I could take something dead and revive it. My uncle was a repair technician and used to show me all kinds of tricks and tips in electronics repairing. I was always good with my hands and I have fixed many devices since now. Mostly PCs and Snartphones. Today as I was opening a samsung galaxy s6 the screen broke. I am very disappointed with my self. I have done things wrong in the past and broke approximately 3 devices since I started the repairs. I have...
