Hello guys. Long time ago I was fascinated by electronics so I started learning more and more about them. I was always fascinated by the fact that I could take something dead and revive it. My uncle was a repair technician and used to show me all kinds of tricks and tips in electronics repairing. I was always good with my hands and I have fixed many devices since now. Mostly PCs and Snartphones. Today as I was opening a samsung galaxy s6 the screen broke. I am very disappointed with my self. I have done things wrong in the past and broke approximately 3 devices since I started the repairs. I have successfully managed to repair about 40 to 60 devices until now. But sometimes I feel like I can't do it anymore because I don't want to break things but I want to fix them. Also my parents told me that if I keep failing like that I won't be able to make money and I will always throw away money on taking the responsibility and refund the device owners for the damage. I don't know guys. Please tell me. Have you ever failed? Is it so difficult? Am I not going to succeed? Will I ever stop making these mistakes?

by boticarioHi again,
The first thanks, I’ve been able to keep progressing with the tests, and as of now, I don’t think the problem is in the EC or the VBIOS.

ASUS ROG Strix GL503GE-EN142T. Motherboard number DABKLBMB8C0 Rev C.
I have been struggling with this laptop for a while. The original EC chip (ITE IT8987E) was shorted, so replaced with one from an identical donor board, but laptop remained dead. Also tried 2 new EC chips, but still nothing. According to the power sequence info shown in the schematic (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubleshooting-hardware-devices-and-electronics-theory/troubleshooting-laptops-tablets-and-mobile-devices/schematic-requests-only/95317-i-m-looking-for-schematic-asus-gl503ge-en056t-dabklbmb8c0?p=1676... -
Hi,
I have a Fujitsu Lifebook E547 vPro that does not boot anymore after Windows Update tried to install a new Bios version. Screen stays black no post - only the numblock light blinks.
What I've tried:
I have used my CH341A to read the bios chip (25Q128FVSQ) (Dump attached) - I think the dump is "good" because I could find the Serial number in the data and also the Winkeyfinder found a windows key.
for the lack of any other Idea I took the bios from this post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl.../troubleshooti...-

by viniciusslsGood morning everyone, this is my first post and I apologize in advance if there are any mistakes in the post.
I have a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16IRH8_LOQ with the typical issue of stripes on the screen, but I made the mistake of replacing the screen without physically removing the battery, thinking that just pressing the SW2 button would be enough – it wasn't. The board showed consumption, with LED6301 lit up and PU301 getting very hot. I replaced PU301. Now, the board is not working correctly, but it has no consumption, LED6301 stays on, and I haven't found any other signs of a short... -
by YOUCEF4787Hello everyone,
I'm working on a Dell Latitude 5490 with a LA-F401P motherboard that has a very peculiar issue, and I would appreciate your insights.
Initial Problem:
The laptop was completely dead, no signs of life, no power LED.
Action Taken:
I flashed the main BIOS chip with a clean dump. This brought the machine back to life, but with a strange limitation.
Current Situation & The Main Issue:
The laptop now works perfectly when powered through the USB-C port. It charges the battery, powers on, boots into the OS, and functions 100% correctly.... - Loading...
