    Acer 5738zg Black Screen

    Hello guys,
    i have here a Acer 5738ZG with motherboard JV50-MV DDR3 M92 MB
GPU and Chipset reflowed, all bga are getting Hot but i still get a black screen.
Do you think that i should reflash bios, or it's a waste of time ?

    Any help apreciated.

Reflow is a waste of time. Do a reball of GPU or change it and youl'll see. Of course you can try reflash BIOS first.

i would first try bios . if that doesnt help, i would probably reball the intel northbridge ( if it is the small one, reflow wont help. u have to reball it.

As i suspected, no change after bios flash !
Is this the big or small chip ?
            Thanks

umh that looks like an old mainboard core 2 duo. check all coils voltage when it turns on.

Do i need to measure both contacts of the coil ?
Like black probe on ground and red on both points ?
                thanks buddy

just one pint, as difference is very low voltage change.

I have measured both contacts on all, except L11 and L17, because the heatsink i can't access second contact.
Voltages are not stable at all, almost on all coils.

                    L10 0,80V 0,81 goes up and down , sometimes was at 1,24V
                    L11 0,20 can't measure the other side
                    L17 0,18 can't measure the other side
                    L19 0,93 -3,38 (- means negative voltage)
                    L25 1,07 -1,14
                    L26 1,54 -0,30 Changing value constantly
                    L27 5,13 3,75
                    L28 0,48 3,42

                    Hope you can help me.
                    Thanks

make a high quality picture of the whole board.
Just cook it! It's already broken.

I can also make a photo of a particular component, if needed.

                          yep.
this weekend i will help you fix it.
mine its the same. mine got the lcd connector broken.
even like that it outputs to external both vga and hdmi.
i keep it to test memory and CPU's

if cpu and gpu get hot could be: vga bga problem that need reballing or bad memory ram or bad bios.

how much resistance to ground without any kind of power on l L19 ?

Both pins give 08,2 ohms to ground

i mean no voltage. u dont have vga core and cpu core voltages.

check cpu vcore ic voltages on all pins. or almost the most important ones.
