    anyone have any schematics so I can figure out where the thermal sensor is? any replacement ideas?

    I mean, i'm sure its in the middle of the socket, but which one?

          have you checked the cpu voltage ?

              yes I have the voltage is normal, at least thats what hwmon says

                Do you know the motherboard model?
                I think I have the same issue here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=60322
                It's a G6 and I think it has the same processor

                  I would think the sensor would be labeled according to the type of sensor, RTD, NTC, etc...
