acer aspire 725 no power. please help me

i'm working with this schematic of acer aspire 725. i found out that this vrm section is heating when i plugged the charger. please help me know what to test next? no output at 3v and 5v.

The supply voltage for PU8 is about 17,8V on legs 9,10,11, 20,21,22. What voltages do you get there. If very low check resistence to ground on VL ( pins 4,14,17 ). Then check the power NCB (R103) for a short to ground. If not short to GND at NCB then PU8 to change. You can swap it with TPS51125.

i check the r103 and there is a short. low voltage output at pu8 legs. i tried to remove the r103 but still shorted pu8 still overheating.
