strange weird isue after HM55 replacement

    toshiba L635
    BM10G -6050A2338501_MB-A02

This machines was having Hang during post , somethimes freeze during boot , and stuff like , random shutdown insyde windows . all was poiting to HM chipset , since all the outher tests was showing good values and signals .
we replaced hm55 ... not machine is making 3.3 volts oscilating all time in all points , main regulator, bios etc .. and there is no 5volts line .
O.o each time im understanding less this machines nowadays .
simple hm55 replacement , now got 3.3 volts like
    3.3 , 3.08 , 3.3 , 0 , 3.3 , 1.98 .. doing all same thing , and also (the turn on led , and wirless led , blink each time there is a oscilation on the 3.3 volts line .

Cmos bat is ok , the board was protected to avoid to much heat on certain components.. really dont get it why after the HM replacement is acting like this .. bad HM55 ? bad soldering ?? (that is something i dont think much , since my machine is insyde a big special box to have a always correct temp , and all chip stay well soldered usually , why wouldn't this one ) now im stuck

cheking main regulator , i got a stable 19 volts dc in . but will post here pinout and wich are making the oscilation

    1- 0 , 0.09 , 0 , 0.11 , 0 etc
    2- 0.22 , 0 , 0.2 , 0.18 ,0
    3 - 0 , -0 , 0
    4 - the more or less stable value 3.37 , 3.32 , 3.35
    5 - 2.02 , 1.5 , 2.02 , 0.49 , 1.99 pfffff i could be here writing diferente values and each second
    6 - 1,58 stable
    7 - 3,37 , 1.95 , 0.45 ,3.33 , 0 , 1.99 etcetc
    8 - the more or less stable value 3.37 , 3.32 , 3.35
    9 - 7.69 ,4.56 , 7.56 , 6.98 etc etc

    13 - 1.24
    14 - 1.98
    15 - 0
    16 - dc in stable 19,8 volts
    17 - 4.93 stable
    18 - 0.06
    19 - 0.03 , 0.00 , 0.02 etc
    20 - 0 , 0.58 , 0.0 , 0.01
    21 - the same as pin 20
    22 - 4.47 , 4.76 ,4.45 , 5 etc
    23 - 0 0.01 0.03 0
    24 - 0 0.3 0 0.5 0 0.4 :S

spent a good minutes to be more precise possible guys --

im even going to drink a coffe before exploding this board

Re: strange weird isue after HM55 replacement

well , im considering removing the hm55 and turning back to the hold hm55 to chek if problem persist , since major PWM management is done insyde hm55 , worth a try ~

i have nothing stable on board , KBC impossible to REAd since i dont have any readable VCC stable .
      argh pain in the ass

Re: strange weird isue after HM55 replacement

new , i only solder with unlead
after removing chipset for a possible chek with old chip to chek if issue would happen , board started to delaminating on cleaning ... long time that didn't happen . so no time to mask the board and solder old chip back , its a "i want fast client" so replacing board agreed by client .
thread close , meanwhile i've got outher jobs , but if he leaved the board here for us , i will mask the board with time and resolder old chip to determine if bad HM or not . if so RMA

Replacement IGBT's for LG TV reading weird
            by TURSTY
            Hi guys,

I have a LG Plasma that went bang one night.

Long story short, I took it to a "professional" shop to repair the YSUS board that was shorted and they did a half ass job.

I'm a long way down the path of teaching myself component level repair, but not 100% confident in everything yet, hence what might be a basic question.

The repair shop replaced 3 transistors on one of the two heat sinks and fixed one short, but the second set of transistors on the second sink still had a short.

            So I removed this sink...

Unknown transformer : how to find a good replacement part ?
            by the_rem
            Hello guys,

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

PS4 controller left stick potentiometer replacement issue
            by ezenia
            Hello,

Not sure if this is the correct section, but I have a PS4 controller that I am trying to fix. It developed stick drift on the left stick and the usual simpler methods did not fix the problem.

So I went on eBay and ordered some replacement potentiometers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174967976757 is where I got them from.

I took the green potentiometers off the replacement sticks and soldered them onto the PCB. Assembled the controller and ran some tests. The drifting was somewhat fixed (not fully in center, but way better than before). However,...

Macbook pro logic board replacement parts quesion
            by boosti45
i have a 2020 macbook pro 13" A2251 with 820-09149 logic board so i found an issue with chip labeled U6903 according to schem. boardview using flexBV software, so i removed it from the board and the issue im having is that the chip says "07A08FI ELC180" on top of it but when searching for a replacement chip, i can find tons of identical looking chips that also have "ELC180" printed on them but the first set of digits is never the same so im trying to find out if i need this exact chip with these same numbers as mine and if not which ones are compatible as a replacement?...

klipsch kda-500 amplifier suitable power supply capacitor replacement ?
            by r2digital
I have a klipsch kda-500 that would turn on and allow me to get into the web management but it was picking up a lot of noise from audio sources so i decided to replace the smd caps on the power supply along with radial one. Some one was in here before me and they basically burned the bottom side of the traces off for the radial cap but i was able to repair it without any real problem. I thought i did a good job sourcing out replacement caps but apparently not and now i can't get the power supply to turn on it just constantly try's to keep turning on. Attached is a picture of the power supply before...
