I am repairing a HP Victus 16 with black screen, blinking screen, etc. Quick googling provided me the answer that the lid detect hall sensor is the issue. Confirmed with disconnecting the IR board (that contains also the hall effect sensor). Laptop itself is just over a year old, but out of warranty.
Apparently the sensor itself is a TCS40DLR, which fails after just months of use at elevated temperatures.
Now which one is the best to replace with?
Some suggested A1126LLHLT-T, but they had to modify the power supply to supply the 3.3V instead of 1.8V, as the sensor wasn't... -
On hp victus 16 it is know roblem hal sensor that starts failing when heated by gaming.
as i see in some video it is on power switch board. i read about bad sensors in victus 16 0 series and series 1 have good sensors.

hi guys i have the above MacBook pro 2019 16"
i did some dust cleaning recently and i somehow damaged the lid angle sensor. so i purchased the nerdtool1 lid angle sensor calibrating tool and a new sensor.
installed it and followed the instructions to program the sensor.
and now im still getting no display out of the MacBook pro.
its booting up ok ive noticed the keyboard and touchbar is all lighting up.
it was also showing a display before i replaced the damaged sensor and now i cant get any display out of it.

Got a new victim:
AcuRite 5 in 1 Iris outdoor weather station not updating the temperature / humidity anymore. The original sensor is a SHT21. Also there are identical other sensor manufacturers. I chose the HTU21D to replace the original SHT21. Both have identical specs. I've had two failure modes with these sensors.
A: outside temp stuck at -40?
It's cold here at times in Canada, but not that cold!
B: stuck at some temperature and maybe updating once in 12 hrs or so.
Easy solution is to go to AcuRite website and purchase the sensor. Right?...

Hi! I have problem with HP VICTUS 16-E0403NW laptop, board designation: DAG3MQMBAE0 rev. E. When the laptop came to me, it did not turn on, after reprogramming the BIOS, the laptop turns on now, but there is a problem with the TPM (photo in attachments).
After pressing the button: 'Y' - the laptop ?resets? there is a slight backlight, the diode from the switch lights up and then laptop turns off, the situation repeats all the time
Reprogramming the bios with a new batch and pressing the button: 'N' -laptop returns to this window all the time. How to solve this problem? First time...
