Dell 7280 No Backlight Help
Hi all,
So im a technician but new to component level repairs on motherboards etc.
My laptop wont turn on the screen backlight - i tried a new screen already.
Ive opened the schematics and found QV1 which gives 3.5 v on all pins except pin 4 which gives 8v.
bridging pin 4 and 5 switches the backlight on, im assuming as its then putting 8v through to pin 5.
I really dont know where to go from here to diagnose the faulty component. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as im trying to learn so it would be great to get this working again.
