    Specific Data-Recovery Assistance on no-power 820-02536 (A2681)

Received this unit for data-recovery only. Unit has no power and charger cycles the instant it boosts to 20v on all ports. Unit will show life when REVIVING, but fails DFU eventually (expected DFU mode, i.e. a cycle/restart of SOC). Board and unit are super clean, I suspect the unit may have simply lost power at a critical point of update. Customer doesn't care about repair, only wants data. But I strongly feel a restore is what the unit needs. Again, during revive, video will show on LCD, but there is never any trackpad click (I'm unsure if there is normally anyway at this specific point, reviving an 02536). To be sure, I tried board in different working unit to eliminate all non-board components. Revive still fails.

I think a restore would fix the board, but it will erase the data. No target disk pre-boot modes anymore, so unsure of what to even try.

    Any suggestions?

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
    by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

Garage door RX unit (Cardin S38C) does not short relay to send opening signal
    by CoinCoin88
    Hello everyone,

I'm turning to the Badcaps community to help me troubleshoot the radio Rx card from my (old) garage door opener. While I could just ditch that card and replace the whole system, I first would like to understand "why" it suddenly stopped working, because that's just how I am wired...!

Some basics: the receiver works on a 30.875 Mhz frequency. Yes, I'm aware this is not in use anymore in a looot of places. It does not use any rolling code, it's just a regular dip-switch code that you have to set up on both the receiver and transmitter. The receiver...

Unit runs but no speaker output kenwood KR-6030
    by DrDos
I have finished my work. The new lights come on except the one for stereo, I reversed the bulbs to no affect, anyway, the unit powers on, relay clicks. I have no DC voltage in speaker outputs, I also do not have any AC in the speaker outputs. There is some faint crackling in the speaker. This unit cranks up loud so I had the volume on very low. Everything seems to be fine but I can't really check the switch until I can get sound out of the outputs. I was going to do caps for the power supplys and the tone board but thought if it was cranking loud at one time maybe just leave it alone until it...

MacBook Air A2681 battery problem after Screen Replacement
    by mferna14
Hi, my dear friends., Maybe this might be a stupid question or something I missed or do not know. I have 2 MacBook Air A2681 (Indentical color & EMC #), both LCD screens broken. Before ordering the LCD Screens I confirmed both worked with their respective batteries & AC Adapters, & they did 100%. The LCD Screens came in today & I replaced LCD for the 1st A2681. (Removed Battery Terminal cable for both Laptops before installation of LCDs). Perfect Screen & Booted up fine. But it did not work with battery. I checked the battery connector & it was seated in well/perfectly....

Bose Companion 5 - Unit Powers On then Cuts Off Shortly After
    by nobbnobb1
    Hi guys,

Trying to salvage a Bose Companion 5 computer speaker system that powers off shortly after powering on. It's got a primary USB input (built in DAC) and an aux 3.5mm input. The USB appears to be the primarily source that tells the unit to power on (control pod LED goes green) as the unit has no power switch.

When I first connect power to the unit, plug in the USB, it will play audio nicely for a minute before it drops out and the unit appears to go into standby (control pod LED goes red). It stays in standby and I cannot seem to power it back on without physically...
