Is there only a single usb port on this unit? If not, do you see the same current draw on other usb ports? Flip the head by 180 degrees. Same current draw?

        3 USB-C 14", plus the MagSafe 3

        All 3 ports are 999.ohms 5.23V and 0.00A

Looking around the speaker IC where there was corrosion. I went ahead and replaced the Capacitor and UR730 just for peace of mind.. I noticed in the schematics that 1.8 AWAKE runs this rail. Curious where 1.8 Awake comes from I found this page, showing UR500.. Where PP1v2 goes in, and PP1V8 AWAKE comes out.. So I checked for PP1V2 Awake at LR500, and it is indeed NOT present. 0 Volts...

So I went back to PP1V2 AON.. Checked for it on C7772, and there IS 1.2V there.

So I'm thinking, Get 1.2V back to L500, which should get 1.2V to UR500 to create the 1.8V AWAKE rail.

          Thoughts?

Measure the voltage on L7980 = PP1V2_AWAKE. Is there a voltage here? If not, remove all power. Measure the resistance to ground on L7980. What is the resistance in ohms? If the resistance is low, confirm it in DIODE mode. Meter in diode mode. Red meter probe to ground; black meter probe to L7980.

            PP1V8_AWAKE is created @ U7700, VOUT_SW1 ball. This rail is dependent on PP1V8_S2 @ V19 ball (VIN_SW1). Do you have a voltage at PP1V8_S2?

L9780 has no voltage, and is not shorted. 14kohms all over it. High res.

Same with PP1v8_S2 measuring right next to it at L7830 & other capacitors next to it.. No Voltage and also high resistance.

MacBook Pro 13inch 2017mid (A1706 820-00923-A) - liquid damage - USBC and Display short circuit
                by rilley
                Hello everyone,
I am new into this, sorry to post it here. I want to make this as a pet hobby project, as this mac is not urgent.

                I have (Macbook Pro 13inch 2017mid) A1706 820-00923-A

My mac had liquid damage a long time ago, the connector from J8500 is damaged on pin 46 (PP5V_S0_ALSCAM_F), I guess the LCD/display panel is in short circuit, as I saw the connector from the LCD burned as well.

And the resistor L4004 is literally burned.

From what I see from the schematics, it does not affect any other rails, only the connection to the display...

                usbc connector replacement on mobile
                by drscoot
I replaced the broken usbc connector on this Ciontek CS50 mobile device. It worked fine afterwards, although it looks like the battery went down quickly and the device got warm at the back (battery section). After putting it in standby for a while it didn't came back anymore?
The battery is still charging (red led), but no power on.
I had another look at the usbc connector, it looks like one of the components is melted down (blue marking)? I have a picture of an untouched device and then the repaired device with 2 pictures; what are these components with B1 and PB marking? Are these...

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 1 not charging on 1 USBC
                by nikolayu
I have Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Nano Gen 1 which is not charging on 1 usbc port (the one that has mark for charging).
When i connect usb it switchs to 20v but no current draw (only 0.02a) and orang light is on. In windows it shows that is charging but percentage is dropping.
                Other usbc is charging fine,

I installed lates bios and firmwares for thunderbolt and battery.

                Could be faulty JHL8040R controller?

                Laptop: 5V - 0A

                Issue: PPBUS_AON_SPKRAMP_ABC and PPBUS_AON shorted.
                • On PPBUS_AON_SPKRAMP_ABC, capacitor CR635 was damaged (melted) and created an internal short circuit to ground.
                • I removed faulty components (CR635, CR634, CR633) and also chip UR630.
                • Result:
                  • PPBUS_AON_SPKRAMP_ABC → still shorted
                  • PPBUS_AON → still shorted

                When I inject 3 V / 1 A on PPBUS_AON_SPKRAMP_ABC, heating occurs on pad CR635.

I suspect that during the failure, the pad and line PPBUS_AON_SPKRAMP_ABC melted into ground( i try to...

                no backlight on macbook 14" M3 A2992 820-02918,
                PPVOUT_LUXE : 12V
                BL_PMIC_PWR_EN = 1,2v
the value is normal for 1.2v ?
                voltage direct on jumper
is someone already repair this model?
                thanks
