by nobbnobb1I picked up this used Bose Acoustimass 10 IV speaker system. Speakers seem to work fine, but the subwoofer does not make any noise. So I took apart the unit and found some obviously failed (burnt) components:
- 1x 3.14 A @ 250V main circuit fuse
- 1x bridge rectifier GBU601. there's actually two of these on the board, one is obviously burnt and the other does not seem to have any anomalies like shorts. However I figure may as well replace both.
- 2x diode. This is tricky because the only markings I see on it are: "617 402". No current rating or anything else....-

by dicky96Hi guys
This Zotac GTX 260 had a high side MOFET on one Vcore VRM phase short circuit Drain to Gate (Not short Drain to Source)
This has burnt out the drive IC L3E (ADP3110A) and also an SOT-23 device very close to the driver IC. According to the PCB markings 'Dxxx' this is likely to be a diode.
Basically the VRM has 4 phases, two powered from one 6 way connector and two powered from the other 6 way
I would assume each pair of phases are basically identical, the burnt out phase has SOT-23 devices WW1 plus the burnt one.
The good phase... -

by trepachkaHello,
I have this HP Envy 15-fe0053dx / Motherboard LA-794P.
The motherboard shut down due to liquid spill. Everything looks good except this component is cracked. According to the markings, it says "MPPS 2961", though it looks like the first digit is 2.
Could someone, please help me identify this component?
Thank you kindly.... -
by FZGHi, my neighbor gave me a faulty bike headlamp (Magicshine MJ-906B) and asked if I could have a look at it. I opened it up and saw a blown-up component, likely some kind of transistor. The writing on the component looks like "AG5V" but I can´t seem to find any information on this component. Does anyone know what it could be? Also it seems that someone else had worked on the device before (the battery wire soldering looks bad) but since it worked until recently that´s probably unrelated... Any help would be appreciated....
